Did you know that thousands of computer science and coding related jobs currently go unfilled in the US? That trend is predicted to increase.

Elementary kids CAN code, and in learning to code will explore math concepts such as measurement, degrees, directions, even addition and

multiplication to solve a real life, gamified problem. Kids also learn habits of mind including persistence, collaboration, problem solving,

critical thinking, striving for accuracy, and applying past knowledge to new situations when they code.

If you want to learn about the Computer Science fundamentals code.org resources, learn how you can start a coding club, or include coding

in your centers or reward times and receive a cool swag bag and teaching manual, sign up for the code.org classes on April 17th and 18th.

This is a 6 hour training, spread over two nights. You will receive licensure credits.

GEC D228 Lab 4:40 - 7:30 PM both nights.
